  • WHEELIE UNFORTUNATE INCIDENT AS CRIMINALS FAIL TO GET A GRIP ON STOLEN BIKES

    Alert message sent 23/06/2022 20:05:00

Information sent on behalf of South Yorkshire Police

The Parson Cross Team clampdown on stolen vehicles in our area continued today. The pictured scooter was stolen from the Stockbridge area no less than 24 hours earlier and will now be reunited with it’s rightful owner.

The rider and his passenger thought they could evade the team, however were quickly left red faced when they turned into a cul-de-sac and were forced to ditch the scooter and run in 27 degree heat. Now not wearing helmets is silly, especially when you are on a stolen vehicle, but even more so when the dashcam of the police vehicle is pointing straight at you.

Unfortunately for these two they also decided to run through some barbed wire leaving further traces of their thoroughbred DNA behind - perhaps stick to the tricycles chaps.

Should you have any information you wish to share with us regarding this or other illegal off road bike activity please contact the team on email at:

    sheffield_neighbourhoods_northeast_parsoncross@southyorks.pnn.police.uk

We welcome all images, dash-cam footage, etc that allows us take the appropriate action. All information as always treated with the strictest of confidence.
