Weekly update from the Bushbury and Low Hill neighbourhood policing team

    Good Afternoon,

Here’s a quick round up from myself and the rest of the Bushbury and Low Hill neighbourhood policing team.

    What’s been happening

    Burglaries
Good news this week we have had no reported burglaries, however this does not mean they have not taken place. We always recommend reporting these via 999 if it is in progress or 101/ live-chat to ensure preventative work can be conducted by your neighbourhood team

    Update on car crime.
Over the past 7 days we have seen an increase in vehicle crime, in and around the Bushbury, Lowhill and Fallings Park area. This includes 1 stolen vehicle, a Mercedes sprinter VRM PN66HWC, and a number of theft of items from vehicles. Please ensure all personal items are removed from the vehicles and check you fob has done its job correctly.

We are currently advising the use of steering wheel locks and faraday pouches to reduce the risk of theft.

    Community Engagement
As a team we have been conducting our junior PCSO scheme with local schools, and we would like to thank Berrybrook Primary school and St Marys Primary school for there support and participation. The scheme will continue up until July 2022. The youths will be engaging in a community litter pick and gardening project over coming weeks.

    Keeping you safe
A number of arrests have been made in relation to the incident which took place on Old Fallings Lane, the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information in accordance to the incident is asked to contact West Midlands Police quoting investigation number 20/445772/22.

    A big thanks to
A big thanks to Street watch who have worked tirelessly to keep the community safe and engaging with local residents.

Our next PACT (Partners and communities together) meeting will be held at Bushbury Church Room, Wolverhampton on 30th May at 1830hrs. This will give residents an opportunity to speak and discuss local issues within your area.

    Next week
You can expect us to increase patrols in some areas that are suffering from anti-social behaviour, and continue to investigate some of these issues. We are currently working with Wolverhampton ASB team to provide support for local residents suffering from anti-social behaviour. A number of youths have been identified and multi-agency visits have been made to parents and guardians.
