Dear Residents,

Just a short update of what’s been happening with your Tipton Neighbourhood Team (NHT).

Easter School on Holiday.
Children returned to school this week, & Tipton NHT have been busy talking with the schools to arrange more presentation/workshops, the first of which will commence next week.

Parking Around Local Schools.
NHT Officers will be patrolling the roads around our local schools during drop off & pick up times, to ensure parents drive & park safely. Parents of car’s parked illegally or dangerously risk being issued a fixed penalty notice, or even having their vehicle being seized.

Police Surgery.
PCSO’s held another police surgery at Glebefields Library, which we plan to make a regular occurrence moving forward.

Wider Demand.
Neighbourhood officers continue to help out with general demand and support colleges on response.
We have maintained the increased patrols in & around all of the open spaces in Tipton, & continue to pay particular attention to Jubilee Park.

Missing children found safe and well.
Officers from Tipton NHT joined officers from Dudley & Wolverhampton to search the Woodsetton area for three children, two boys & a girl, who were reported missing last night after failing to return home once it went dark.
Thanks to the police helicopter using its night vision camera, officers were guided to three individuals located on grass land. All three children were found safe and well, & were returned home to their very relieved families.

Arrests & other Offences.
NHT Officers arrested a male for taking a vehicle without consent. The male was also found to have no license or insurance.
With the assistance from both firearms officers & dog handlers, NHT Officers arrested one male at an address in Tipton, & seized a sizeable quantity of class A drugs.
NHT Officers raided an address in Tipton, forcing entry to find a large-scale cannabis factory, & also recovered an adapted firearm from the scene. All plants & equipment were removed and destroyed.
Several stolen vehicles were recovered this week from across Tipton; We keep our eyes open for anything which looks suspicious.
NHT Officers working in conjunction with Women's Aid visited an address which is thought to be linked with people trafficking and sex workers. Work is on-going to ensure the safety of all those involved.
