  • Violent assault - Totnes

    Alert message sent 10/02/2022 09:49:00

Information sent on behalf of Devon and Cornwall Police

Police wish to locate second victim
Officers continue to investigate a serious assault that took place in Totnes.
Between 11:50pm on Friday 21 January and 1am on Saturday 22 January, two people were attacked on the High Street on Totnes.
It is alleged that the suspect retrieved a weapon from a near-by vehicle and used this in the attack on the two victims.
One victim is a man in his 20’s who sustained a number of serious facial and head injuries.
We believe that a second person was also assaulted during the same incident but has yet to have contacted the police; the victims had just left the Barrel House Pub in Totnes prior to the attack.
Police are appealing for witnesses and urge the second victim to come forward as they could hold evidence vital to the investigation.
Anyone with any information is asked to email 101@dc.police.uk or call 101 quoting crime reference CR/6927/22.
Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling freephone 0800 555111.
