    Alert message sent 17/01/2022 08:28:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

    Good Morning

In recent days there have been a few shed breaks  in Selly Oak.
Please can we be mindful ,  making sure we are keeping our garages and garden sheds secure.

Many of our sheds contain a lot of high value items such as tools, mowers bikes etc we need to remind ourselves that these storage areas are really an extension of our homes and the same level of security should apply.

Majority of burglaries are by opportunist thieves, Don't make it easy for them.

Please make sure you are securing your sheds, garages and outside storage, not forgetting allotments which house garages with strong bolts and padlocks. Ensuring good security lighting where necessary is always a bonus. All these things will help deter thieves
    .
