  • Halloween - Bonfire Update for Reading

    Alert message sent 15/11/2021 12:16:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Reading Neighbourhood Policing Team would like to thank residents for their help and support during Halloween and Bonfire weekend. These were both extremely busy weekends for the team and your cooperation allowed us to continue to patrol areas of Reading and keep people safe.

Over both weekends officers visited a number of businesses to give advice on selling eggs, flour and fireworks and a number of dispersal orders were put in place to help prevent further incidents of anti-social behaviour - this resulted in 19 people being told to leave the area as a result of their behaviour.

The Neighbourhood Teams also carried out:
    14 stop & searches
    12 vehicles were stopped
3 arrests were made, 2 for going equipped to steal & 1 for Public Order.
    A missing person was found
    3 children were safeguarded
    1 electric bike was seized

To report any incidents of ASB please contact The Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101 or via the website:
