Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

    Good Evening,

Did you know that West Midlands Police have accessible reporting methods, enabling those with speech or hearing impairments to report incidents to us more easily? Here's how these services can be accessed:

In an emergency residents who have a Textphone system can message 18000.

Residents who have pre-registered with the emergencySMS service can text us on 999 (visit https://www.relayuk.bt.com/how-to-use-relay-uk/contact-999-using-relay-uk.html for further details).

For non-emergency enquiries, residents who have hearing or speech impairments can use their Textphone to contact us on 180001.

101 enquiries can also be made via our new Sign Language service at https://www.west-midlands.police.uk. This service is provided by SignVideo and connects you to a fully qualified British Sign Language interpreter. They will make the call to a 101 advisor on your behalf and relay the call to the hearing agent.

Please share this information with any friends, family or neighbours who could benefit. If you have further suggestions on how to make any of our services more accessible, please reply directly to this message.
