Amazon Phone Scam

Today I have been advised of a new telephone scam where the caller is claiming to be from Amazon Prime.

Over the last few days a resident has had two landline calls from "Amazon Prime" saying there account was in arrears and to press "1" to make a payment. This resident does not have an Amazon Prime Account so they immediately cut the caller off.

Please can I ask, should you receive any calls, from Amazon Prime or any other company that you do not have an account with, informing you that you have arrears, please put the phone down immediately.

Please do not become a victim of a telephone scam and take a second to think before you act.
