Reduction in stolen bicycles

Hi,

We are pleased to announce that we have seen a reduction of stolen bicycles during 2020.

2019 saw a total of 212 reported stolen bicycles compared to a total of 151 reports in 2020 which has seen a 28.8% reduction of reports which is a great result for the Lancaster/Morecambe area.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer free bicycle coding events until lockdown has finished but please remember to the following until then.

â€¢ Never leave your bicycle unattended and insecure. Invest in a good quality lock

â€¢ Store bikes away in a locked shed/garage and never leave them in view such as a garden

â€¢ Take a picture of your bike including the make/model and frame number

You can upload the pictures onto your crime report in the unfortunate case it is stolen via doitonline.lancashire.police.uk
