Residential Burglary and other Crime Report 28 Sept 2020

Dear Surrey Heath members.
Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the last period (21 Sept 2020 – 28 Sept 2020). Summary details of these are provided in the list below.
Please note, where known I have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).
27 Sept (16:30-22:00). Westfield Road. Offender(s) have accessed the garden from a wooded area at the rear where fence panels have been forced. They then forced entry to the rear door and carried out an untidy search with jewellery, phones and cash stolen.
27 Sept (17:00-20:30). Mitcham Road. Suspect(s) have entered via unsecured back door and conducted a messy search and stole cash in the form of coinage.
25 Sept (20:05). Portsmouth Road. Attempted burglary. Males have smashed window of rear door to property and have been disturbed by resident of property. Neighbour spotted 3 men in balaclavas running away.
25 Sept (00:00). Portsmouth Road. Break-in via a kitchen window being broken/forced. Belongings inside the property have been moved but nothing stolen.

*Business broken into and computer hub stolen (Camberley).
**Reports of businesses allegedly not following new Covid guidelines.
***Inc; suspect identified parked up in vehicle and following a search found in the possession of multiple bags of cocaine, a quantity of cash, and two mobile phones.
****Inc; report of vehicle in car park has been damaged been there for a few days – but victim not reported (Frimley), black Ford Ranger Wildtrack stolen from home address and later found burnt out (Camberley), theft of catalytic converter from Honda Jazz (Lightwater), theft of catalytic converter from Honda Civic (Lightwater), theft of catalytic converter from Toyota Auris (Lightwater), damage to vehicle (Chobham).
*****Inc; suspects have tried to take a moped from a car park and have damaged the moped (Windlesham).
******Inc; 14 year old found in possession of cannabis (Deepcut), 2 males stopped and found in possession of cannabis (Lightwater), male found in possession of cannabis after arrest (Camberley), driver stopped and found in possession of cannabis (Camberley).
